"Talk about real estate agents, he is the best."
Submitted by our client to the Athol Daily News. "To the Editors, In our local newspaper here in Vancouver Island, Canada, they have a page each week called 'Beefs and Bouquets'. This page gives local citizens a chance to complain or compliment the local citizens or businesses in the area. It is in this context that I write this letter. I would like to send the largest bouquet of thanks, good wishes, and continued success to Ray Edson of Godin Real Estate in Athol, Massachusetts. Talk about real estate agents, he is the best. I think it was a year ago this time he agreed to sell a house lot for me. He found a buyer who wanted to build a house. At all times, Ray kept me informed as to what was happening and what was planned to happen. If I had a question he would always find the answer for me. He wrote to me at least once a week with a 'progress report'. The sale has been finalized and this is my way of saying 'Thank You' to Ray for a superb job. The people in the Athol, Massachusetts area are fortunate to have such an outstanding real estate agent as Ray Edson.

Buyers Remorse >Buyers Remorse
If you are like most buyers who sign a purchase agreement on a new home, you will almost certainly feel a wave of overwhelming anxiety. You may begin to question your judgement -- did I pay too much? Is it the right home? Can I really afford the mortgage payments? How can I get out of it? This response--referred to as "Buyer's Remorse"--is completely normal!
Call your friends who have owned a home for a few years if you experience an attack of buyer's remorse. Are they bothered by rapidly escalating home prices? Probably not, because that means the value of their home is increasing. Did they feel anxious when they first signed the agreement? They may tell you that they felt just as anxious as you are feeling, but now are really glad that they went through with the purchase. Have they made improvements to the property that heightened their enjoyment of the home? They will probably say they much prefer the creative freedom of being a homeowner compared with having to ask the landlord's permission to put in a garden or paint the living room.
When you experience a buyer's panic attack, be strong -- you have a great deal to gain!
